Leaving Inline Comments

Attach feedback to exact Script text and manage the conversation from the Script sidebar.

Inline comments let teammates review a Script without rewriting the document directly. Like Google Docs comments, each thread stays attached to a specific passage and can be resolved when the conversation is finished.

Comments now live in the Comments tab of the Script sidebar.

Add a comment

Select the text
Highlight the sentence, phrase, or paragraph that needs discussion.
Open the composer
Use the comment action in the editor controls or right-click the selection.
Write the feedback
Ask a question, request a change, mention a teammate, or explain the decision needed.
Continue in the sidebar
The Comments tab opens automatically so the team can reply in the thread.
Resolve it
Resolve the thread after the edit or decision is complete.

Selecting highlighted text or its comment card keeps the passage and conversation connected. Resolved threads stop crowding the active review queue without removing the Script text.
