Writing with AI in Scripts

Rewrite a passage, or draft a script from its title, with the AI built into the Script editor.

The Script editor has a writing assistant built in. It can tighten a rambling paragraph, punch up a hook, or turn a blank page into a first outline. Nothing it writes goes into your Script until you accept it.

Rewrite a passage

  1. Select the text
Highlight the sentence or section you want to change.
  2. Choose Ask AI
Click Ask AI at the start of the menu that appears over your selection.
  3. Say what to change
Type an instruction, like "make this sound more excited", or pick a quick action such as Make it shorter or Fix spelling & grammar.
  4. Review the result
The reply writes itself into a preview while the passage it will replace stays highlighted in your Script.
The Ask AI panel under a selected paragraph, with an instruction box and quick actions.

When it's done, choose:

  • Replace selection to put it in your Script. One undo takes it back out.
  • Try again for another take on the same instruction.
  • Discard to close the panel and leave your Script as it was.
  • Chat to continue in the AI chat, where you can go back and forth before changing anything.

Start a blank Script

In an empty Script, or a new empty tab, suggestions appear where you'd start typing. Choose Outline from the title, Write a hook, or Draft the full script, or Something else… to describe what you want. The AI works from your Script's title, so give it a specific title first.
