Statuses and Priorities
Shape a Channel's workflow stages and priority scale — rename them, recolour them, reorder them, delete the ones you don't use, and add your own.
Every Idea has a Status and a Priority. Both are configured per Channel, so a podcast and a main channel can run different pipelines inside the same Bluprint.
Bluprint ships with a sensible default pipeline — Idea, Planned, Scripted, Ready to Film, Filming, Editing, Review, Scheduled, Published, Archived — and a four-step priority scale of Low, Medium, High, and Critical. Most teams adjust rather than replace.
Open the editor
From the Channel menu, choose Manage Fields in this Channel. Under Ideas, click the icon beside the Status or Priority field to expand it — its options are edited right there in the field list, not on a page of their own.

What you can change
Every status and priority can be changed or deleted, including the ones Bluprint ships with. Delete one Bluprint provided and Restore offers it back later.
Roles
Three jobs in Bluprint are done by a status rather than a particular one. You point each at whichever status you like from an option's ⋯ menu, under Use as:
This is what lets you rename Published to Live, or point Archived at a stage called Shelved, without anything breaking — the YouTube sync and the archive action follow the role, not the name.
Shape the pipeline around your workflow
The statuses are the columns of your kanban board and the stages of your production line, so it is worth spending five minutes on them per Channel.
- Delete what you don't do
A solo creator who never scripts can delete Scripted. You will be asked where any Ideas sitting in it should go, and it can be restored later.
- Rename what you call something else
If your team says "Rough Cut" rather than "Editing", rename it. The status keeps working everywhere; only its label changes.
- Add the stages you actually have
Agencies almost always need a client-approval stage. Add it where it belongs in the order.
- Set the colours
Give blocked or waiting stages a warm colour and finished ones a cool one, so a kanban board reads at a glance.
Where they show up
- Kanban layout uses statuses as its columns, in the order you set here.
- Color by in the Idea Catalog can tint rows and cards by status or priority.
- Filters and sorts offer every status the Channel uses — deleted ones drop out of the menus.
- The Bluprint dashboard counts Ideas by status.
Common mistakes
Building a different pipeline in every Channel
Different Channels can differ, but saved views, filters, and habits do not travel between them. Keep them the same unless the work is genuinely different.
Deleting a stage that half the board is sitting in
Deleting asks where those Ideas should go and moves them before the stage disappears, so nothing is stranded — but pick the destination deliberately. If you only want the stage out of the way for now, drag it to the bottom instead.
Using priority as a second status
Status is where the work is; priority is how much it matters. If you find yourself adding "Urgent Editing" as a status, that is a priority on an Editing Idea.
