Anchoring Comments

An anchored comment connects feedback to both a time and a position in the frame. Use one for notes such as “move this label” or “retouch this corner,” where a timestamp alone leaves room for doubt.

Place an anchor

1. Choose the moment
   Pause on the frame you want to discuss and begin typing your comment.
2. Start placement
   Select the [icon:map-pin?] anchor button below the composer.
3. Choose the point
   Select a point on the video, or drag the placement prompt from the sidebar onto that point.
4. Post the comment
   Finish the message and send it. The comment saves with its time and normalized position, so it stays aligned at any player size.

Before posting, drag the pin to reposition it or remove the anchor from the composer. Anchoring automatically keeps the comment timestamped; removing its timestamp also removes the anchor.

View anchored feedback

Selecting an anchored comment seeks to its moment and opens it beside the pin. By default, anchors appear on the video while playback is paused or when their comment is highlighted. Open the viewer settings to change anchor overlays to Always, On pause, or Highlighted only.
