Bluprint vs Frame.io

Compare Bluprint Creative's connected video review workflow with Frame.io's dedicated review platform.

Bluprint Creative and Frame.io both support versioned video review, time-based feedback, and visual markup. The important difference is scope: Frame.io is a dedicated media review and approval platform, while Bluprint makes review one connected stage of a creator's planning, production, and publishing workflow.

Where Bluprint is different

In Bluprint, a review can be linked directly to the Idea that started it. The same workspace already contains the script, calendar events, thumbnail projects, tasks, assets, assignments, and custom fields around that video. Review metadata uses the same configurable field system as the rest of the Channel.

That connection reduces handoffs: open the review from an Idea, start it from an asset, discuss the cut, then return to the script or publishing plan without reconstructing context in a separate product.

Pricing

As of August 7, 2026, Bluprint Creative+ is $9.99 per month and the team-wide Video Reviews Add-on is $4.99 per month, or $49.99 per year. Additional Creative+ seats are $5 per month. A solo creator therefore pays $14.98 monthly, and a five-person monthly team pays $34.98.

Frame.io lists its Pro plan at $15 per member per month and Team at $25 per member per month. At those published monthly rates, five Pro members cost $75, so Bluprint's team-wide add-on becomes substantially less expensive as a team grows. Check Frame.io's current pricing before purchasing, since third-party plans can change.

Which should you choose?

Choose Bluprint when you want feedback deeply connected to Ideas, scripts, schedules, thumbnails, tasks, and the Asset Library; when a single team add-on is more economical than per-member review pricing; or when creators should manage the full video lifecycle in one place.

Frame.io may fit better when your organization needs a specialized, standalone review system, larger bundled storage, or workflows centered on external media collaborators. The best choice depends on whether video review is the destination or one part of a connected creative operating system.
