The Calendar Events Window
Learn every major field in the Calendar Event window and how it connects events to production work.
The Calendar Events window is the full editor for a Calendar Event. Use it when you need more than a quick title or date change.

Core Fields
Every event starts with the basics:
- Title: the name shown on the calendar.
- Event Type: Filming, Release, Editing, Planning, Deadline, Review, Reminder, or a custom type.
- Start and End: when the event happens.
- All day: useful for releases, deadlines, and simple reminders.
- Description: extra context for the team.

Production Connections
The most useful Calendar Events are connected to the rest of the workspace.
Use Link idea to attach the event to an Idea. Once linked, the event can appear in the Idea window's Events tab, and the event can optionally use the Idea title.
The Channel field controls whether the event belongs to a Content Calendar. If you leave it outside a Channel, it belongs only to the Master Calendar.
Recurrence and Reminders
Use recurrence for repeat routines, like weekly planning meetings or recurring review blocks.
Use notifications when the team needs a reminder before the event starts. Reminder times and methods appear once notifications are enabled.

Quick Edit vs Full Editor
Click an event once to quick edit its common fields. Open the full editor when you need descriptions, attendees, location, recurrence, reminders, Channel, or detailed linked-Idea behavior.

Common Mistakes
Using the title as the only source of context
Add a short description when the event needs decisions, deliverables, or production notes.
Forgetting the Channel field
Channel-scoped events show in that Channel's Content Calendar and roll up to the Master Calendar.
