Configure Calendar Event Quick Edit Popovers
Choose and arrange the fields shown when someone clicks an event on a calendar.
Clicking a Calendar Event opens a compact quick-edit popover. You can decide which fields appear there and what order they use, so the team sees the details it changes most without opening the full editor.

Open the popover field builder
In the calendar toolbar, select Fields (number). The Edit Event Popover window lists the fields currently shown.

Add, remove, and reorder fields
- Add a field
Select Add field, search the available base and Calendar Event custom fields, then choose one.
- Reorder the popover
Drag a visible field by its handle. The top-to-bottom order here becomes the order in quick edit.
- Remove clutter
Hover a visible field and select the remove button. This only removes it from quick edit; it does not hide the base field or delete a custom field.
- Check the result
Close the builder and click an event. Changes save automatically to the target shown in the builder description.
The New custom field action at the bottom of the Add field menu creates a Calendar Event field, then makes it available to the popover.
Master and Channel calendars
Popover configuration follows the active calendar view. A saved view can carry its own field layout; otherwise the calendar uses its broader default configuration. The builder tells you exactly where the change will be saved.
Some fields only make sense on the Master Calendar and are omitted from a Channel calendar's available list.
Reset the layout
Select the reset action in the builder header to restore the default popover fields. This is useful when a saved view has become too specialized or important fields were removed accidentally.
A practical setup
For a production calendar, start with Title, Event type, Start, End, Linked Idea, Assignees, and one or two custom fields such as Expected deliverable. Leave recurrence, detailed notes, and less common settings in the full editor.
